March 2019 Meal Plan!

Hey everyone!

If February was anything to go by, March is going to be a VERY busy month for us!
This month I am planning on quite a few freezer meals, simple Thermomix recipes and loads of veggie packed dinners.
Saving money is our goal this month, so I am starting March off with a freezer and pantry challenge.

I have looked through my pantry and both of my freezers, and here are the list of meals I can make with what I have already!

  • Chicken Pie (4 Ingredients One Pot One Bowl)
  • Pies and veggies (a staple in our house)
  • Savoury mince (another staple)
  • Noodle pancakes, fish fingers and veg
  • Golden Curry Sausages
Other meals we will be making this month include:
  • Spag Bol
  • Honey Soy Chicken drumsticks and veggies
  • Hot Dogs
  • Homemade Pizza
  • Scrambled Eggs with Fish and salad (weird combo I know but it's what works to get the kids eating)
  • Macaroni Bake with veg (4 Ingredients One Pot One Bowl)
  • Roast Beef Lasagna (4 Ingredients One Pot One Bowl)
  • Taco Bake (Large Family Table)
  • Chicken Teriyaki Fried Rice (The Road To Loving My Thermomix)
  • Meatloaf and Veg
  • Beef Stroganoff (Large Family Table)
  • Fish, Chips and Eggs
  • Chicken Tenders and Salad in Pita Pockets
Snacks for the month will include:

  • Pikelets
  • Yoghurt
  • Cheese and Bacon muffins
  • Banana Choc Chip muffins
  • Loads of fresh fruit
  • Cheese sticks
  • Savoury Muffins
  • Choc Slice (Coconut, Honey, Oats, Choc chips)
  • Banana Bread
I have changed up the way we meal plan, because of the fact that I am out of the house so much at this point. Having a list of meals ready, I am able to choose what I am able to make that day. For example, on a day Miss8 has gymnastics, I can make savoury mince during the day and have it cooking on low for a few hours while I am out of the house (there are still adults here, so don't worry!). Having a whole heap of snacks made and in the freezer helps with kids wondering what they can put in their lunch box.

Thanks for reading!

Organising School Uniforms

Hey Guys! When it comes to storing and sorting the kid's school uniforms, it seems we have FINALLY found what works for us! For those who don't know, we have 4 kiddos and my mum works at the kid's school as well, so her uniforms are also stored with the kid's uniforms.  Right next to my desk in the kid's playroom (pretty much only has Lego in it at the moment) we have a clothes rack. The only things that get put on the rack is school uniforms, shoes, the hair box (this keeps all the brushes, hair ties, head bands, etc. together in one place) and school socks.  So here is an overview of what the uniform rack looks like and then I will talk about the sections. We'll talk about hanging the uniforms first! Each person has their own colour coat hanger to make it easier for them to recognise which uniforms are theirs.  BB has pink. Knox has blue. TJ has purple. Liss has white.  Mum has black.  Yes, they are all mixed up at ...

Back into Monthly Meal Planning!

Hey guys!!! I am so happy to announce that I am getting back into the swing of things in regards to monthly meal planning! I have implemented a tip I have heard a hundred times over and decided to put certain types of meals on certain days. So Sunday for me is Something New Sunday and I am not making any plans for that, just if we find a recipe we want to try out that month, Sunday is the day to do that. I am also keeping Fridays as Noodle and or pasta because that is what works for my family. Our Fridays have become even more busy now that my daughter has gymnastics on from 3.30 - 5.30pm.  So here is the basic lay out for the week. Something new Sunday Mince Monday Chicken Tuesday Pizza Wednesday Fish Thursday Noodles/Pasta Friday Something Simple Saturday So I will continue to share just the menu plan for a week in order to keep Meal Plan Monday going. So this week (Sunday 5th - Saturday 11th) is: Sunday: Pizza (last minute decision to go to c...

Decluttering Challenge Day 3

Hey Everyone! Today's area I spent a little time decluttering is one of the cubes in my homeschool shelf. This cube storage holds all of our homeschool books, puzzles, games and manipulatives and it tends to get cluttered very quickly. In a house full of ADHD, any area with a flat surface gets filled with stuff and this shelf system is no exception.  Here is the before photo: As you can see, there is just a bunch of random things in there. Craft things my older kiddo has painted that she no longer wanted, whiteboard cleaner and a ribbon from a gift we got for Christmas. So here is the after shot: Much better! To be honest, I am not even sure I will keep these models and the game as we have not used them for a fair while. And I could use the space to put some things for my nieces when they come over. We have a set of markers and colouring books for each of them as well as some puzzles and games. So it might be nice for those things to have a space.  What have you been dec...
