Night routine of a Mumma of 4!

Hey guys! Today I thought I would share with you my night routine as a mumma of 4 on a school night. These nights are always so busy especially when you add in the nights I am out for church stuff, or afternoons with kids at different activities.  But they all have these main things that I do every night to stay on top of things. First off, after the kids go to bed, I take some time for myself and either watch a couple of YouTube videos, or if there is a TV show on I like, I will sit in the lounge room and watch. This is my breather after making sure the kids have done what they need to do and getting a certain little monkey to sleep at night can take a while. Next is to get the kitchen done and the lunches made/planned for the next day. A lot of the time, my kids don't like to eat sandwiches at school, so I plan to make up some rice cakes or portion out some leftovers for their lunches. Cutting fruit is always done in the morning anyway to stop it from going b...

A day in the life with essential oils!

Hey everyone! I have been using my essential oils for a couple of months now, so I thought I would share with you kind of like a day in the life essential oils version. I think I underestimated how much I would use these oils and how much of a difference they would make in our lives.  So here is a typical day of our family incorporating our doTerra oils. 6am: my alarm goes off to get everyone up and ready for school. I come out and put my motivation blend on my wrists and go to each room to wake everyone up. One of the kiddos have had a cough over night so I put a drop of Easy Air (Breath for US) with some Fractionated Coconut Oil on their chest. The kids get up and get breakfast while I get coffee happening. Today I also decided to put the diffuser going with a couple of drops of peppermint, lemon and frankinsence. This is a blend to help with getting moving in the morning and smells so good.  7:30am: The kids are ready for school so they line up to get th...

After school routine!

Hey everyone! We have hit the second week of school for the year now and even with a whole heap of stuff happening in the house (broken bones, gymnastics twice a week, etc) we have managed to hit a groove with our routine! So I thought I would share it with you! Usually if I have the car, I will pick something to take to school for the kids to eat when they get out of class. My mum works at the school as well so the kids know to go straight to her office when they get let out of class. I am usually there already waiting for them with their afternoon tea as they are always so hungry after school. On days where my 8 year old has gymnastics (Wednesdays and Fridays) this is where we both leave to take her there as her classes are straight after school. Other days we just hang out and play on the computers at the back of the classroom until around 3.30 when all the after school traffic is gone. I really don't like to be stuck in traffic so I avoid it whenever I can.  Wh...

Large Family Laundry System

Hi Everyone! And welcome to our blog!  Today I am going to share about our large family laundry system. Doing laundry is one of those evil necessities that I have had a love/hate relationship with for a long time. I have never really been able to stick to any sort of schedule so it always built up until there was a huge pile of washing to be done. Then one day something changed. I was able to get to the bottom of Mount Washmore and after that I was actually able to do one or two loads every day. I really don't like going outside to put the washing on the line, however the clothes turn out nicer when they have had time out in the sun. I do have a dryer and I was one of those people that said they would only use it when it was raining, etc. but yeah... I use it most of the time.  So here are the catagories I sort my washing into. School Uniforms Towels, kitchen cloths and face washers Sheets Regular Clothes Just a note: I never sort clothes into lights...
