My top 10 favourite TV shows

Hey Guys!

I decided to start a new series on here called My Top 10!

The first one I would like to start with is...

My Top 10 TV Shows!

*These are in no particular order*

First up! Jane the Virgin! I watch this on Netflix Australia (obviously) and this is one I tend to binge watch... FYI: NEVER try to watch this while on a treadmill... (you have to keep watching the screen at all times or you will miss something...) Netflix has only just put the 4th season on and I watched it all within a few days.

Second is: The Big Bang Theory. I watch as much of this show as I can on TV whenever I can find a new episode airing here, but mostly I buy the DVD's. I own 10 seasons so far and will continue to collect these as they are released. I identify most with Bernadette... I am 5 foot nothing and have a computer nerd for a husband. *Nobody tell him I said that*

This leads into the next one: Young Sheldon!
My kids really like this show and I think we will end up collecting these ones on DVD also. It's really interesting to see how Sheldon grew up and how the relationships with his family evolved.

Okay, time for an oldie but a goodie... Friends!
I grew up watching these episodes on TV. I remember Mum used to get us to massage her feet or brush her hair if we wanted to stay up and watch this show (a tradition she has carried on with my kiddos now). I used to own these on DVD however, over the years some discs have disappeared or been scratched (thanks kids...) so now I watch them all on Stan (a streaming platform similar to Netflix).

Next up: Chicago Fire.
There are so many reasons to like this show (I'm sure you can guess a few;) and I am slowly getting the DVD's as I can afford them. I also like the fact there is a fellow Aussie on the show. Jesse Spencer is one of my favourite Aussie actors and has been since he starred in the show House.

The next two I blame on my husband... Stargate SG1 and Atlantis!
He loved this show growing up and when we started dating, a magazine came out that had 3 episodes on a DVD. We ended up collecting all of those magazine/DVD editions and some of the Atlantis ones as well. When my oldest daughter (she is now 13) was about 4 , we were in a DVD shop in one of the shopping centres here and she seen a poster with David Hewlett on it. She immediately recognised him as one of the characters on Stargate Atlantis and got my attention. Turns out it was a poster advertising a convention he was involved with that was running in our capitol city. Yeah there is no way we were going to miss out on that, so when my son was around 6 weeks old (now almost 10!) we were there!
This was the best shot I could get... He couldn't believe I had 3 kids!

The next one is Pretty Little Liars!
I love this show! All the plot twists kinda gave me whiplash but hey, they keep you on your toes guessing who A is. The actors are all amazingly talented people, from Troian Bellasario to Lucy Hale and my favourite Ian Harding.

I come across this next one when I first signed up to Stan and have watched the entire series a number of times (so far). Hart of Dixie is now one of my all time favourite shows and I LOVE to drive my family crazy by using the accent when I talk to them (I am rather good at various accents). I love the small town vibe it brings as well as the way they show you that you can fit in anywhere you want if you try.

Last but not least: Parenthood!
This show is so real in the way they portray real life situations. We were going through getting our second daughter diagnosed with autism when I first started watching this show and we really related to one family on the show as they were getting their son diagnosed with autism. I now own all 6 seasons of the show on DVD and will most likely keep them around.

Thanks for reading!

Organising School Uniforms

Hey Guys! When it comes to storing and sorting the kid's school uniforms, it seems we have FINALLY found what works for us! For those who don't know, we have 4 kiddos and my mum works at the kid's school as well, so her uniforms are also stored with the kid's uniforms.  Right next to my desk in the kid's playroom (pretty much only has Lego in it at the moment) we have a clothes rack. The only things that get put on the rack is school uniforms, shoes, the hair box (this keeps all the brushes, hair ties, head bands, etc. together in one place) and school socks.  So here is an overview of what the uniform rack looks like and then I will talk about the sections. We'll talk about hanging the uniforms first! Each person has their own colour coat hanger to make it easier for them to recognise which uniforms are theirs.  BB has pink. Knox has blue. TJ has purple. Liss has white.  Mum has black.  Yes, they are all mixed up at ...

Our Family Morning Routine

So, since this is the very first blog post, I thought we could start with our regular school term morning routine.  Our Morning Routine Our mornings get really busy and tend to go real fast due to the fact that we are a one car family and I have to take my husband to work every day. We are fortunate in that we also live with my mum so I do not have to get all the kids up and bring them with me.  So my day starts at 6am, when my alarm goes off and I keep pressing the snooze button until 6:30am mainly due to the fact that I am NOT a morning person. As soon as I do get up it is time to wake up the babies! First up, my 8 year old son. He usually wakes up pretty easily and I don't have to keep going back to get him out of bed. He is also the one who, when he feels helpful, gets the bowls out for breakfast along with the cereal.  Next is my 7 year old daughter. She can be a little tough to get up some mornings, but generally speaking she gets up within a few minutes of ...

5 Quick and Easy Gluten Free School Snacks

Hey Everyone! As some people may know, our youngest daughter has been diagnosed with something called PANDAS syndrome. This means that in order to help her with some of the issues stemming from this syndrome, she has had to eliminate Gluten from her diet. It has taken a lot of trial and error to try and find some gluten free things she likes, but here are some of her favourites to pack in her lunch box for school! 1. Popcorn. We try to just make the air popped popcorn in the mornings, that way it is fresh for the day. But sometimes it is well worth the $3 for the Woolies homebrand popcorn that comes in packets. They also have the sweet and salty flavour that is always a hit in our house. 2. Mini pancake muffin bites. These are super easy to make and don't take long. Our daughter loves the Coles home brand I'm Free From Gluten range, so we just buy the pancake shaker bottle in that brand and pour them into a mini muffin pan. We add things like blueberries, chocolate chips etc to...
